Overview
Acacia enables the attachment of both secure electronic (SEMS)* and paper-based referral documents, allowing the triage clinician to view them and record triage outcomes along with notes directly in the system. This streamlines the process by eliminating the need for paper-based workflows and ensures that triage clinicians complete the appropriate steps for declined or transferred referrals.
*SEMS = Secure Electronic Messaging Service
Once a referral is added to a waitlist and the patient has an appointment scheduled, clinicians can document the appointment outcomes during the consultation. Acacia also supports the capture of patient care information within the system, making it accessible to all end users for review and further action.
