A self directed learning package has been developed to provide all TEBREA Region Health Service employees knowledge in Aggression Minimisation at an awareness level.

All Top End / Big Rivers / East Arnhem Region Health Service employees
Purpose
To assist in providing a safe working environment for all health care users. This course will fulfil the Essential Training requirements and can be included in CPD hours.

- DoH Code of practice for the management of aggression
- What defines aggression, violence and assault
- Levels of aggression/assault
- What types of aggression can occur in your workplace
- Why do people behave aggressively – factors that contribute
- Aggression escalation process and timing your response
- Managing a violent situation
- Professionalism and aggression
Assessment and Grading
Aggression minimisation training is an essential requirement to be completed online once, followed by additional face to face training for identified staff.
- Read the tutorial
- Complete the online assessment quiz, you must achieve 100% to pass
- A certificate will be made available once the assessment is completed and passed
- Complete face to face training (for identified staff)
