This course is a half-day session for all Northern Territory Public Service (NTPS) employees to clarify expectations and responsibility regarding appropriate workplace behaviour. 

Target

A course for all NTPS employees who would like to expand their knowledge of appropriate workplace behaviour. 

Overview

This course provides further clarification of the expectations and responsibilities regarding appropriate workplace behaviour under Employment Instruction 13. 

Participants will be able to: 

  • Understand and model appropriate workplace behaviour. 

  • Understand the responsibilities shared by all staff to support respectful work environments and to prevent and eliminate all forms of unacceptable workplace behaviours. 

  • Know the behavioural expectations of all staff. 

  • Know what appropriate and inappropriate behaviour are, and how to address instances of inappropriate workplace behaviour. 

  • Understand what bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, and discrimination are.

Duration of course is half a day (4 hours).

Cost

Course cost is dependent on the number of participants and will be processed via Ledger Transfer Fund (LTF).

Minimum cost (25 participants): $67.26 per person

Maximum cost (15 participants): $112.10 per person 

How to pass

Attendees must attend the full session to be marked as complete and attended.

Approvals required to attend

1. Your line Manager and HR delegates have approved your attendance at this training in writing/email.
2. You have submitted and had approval from your financial delegate for any costs, including travel, associated with this training. 
3. You have let the relevant rostering officers know you will be attending this training.
4. Your work unit is aware that they will be charged the course fee for non-attendance .

Falsely claiming that approval has been granted can result in cancellation of your enrolment and disciplinary action
