This electronic Medication Management application (eMMa) online course is recommended for hospital based Registered and Enrolled nurses. This online course is designed to cover the training requirements and other relevant information that will assist Nursing Staff in the use of eMMa in the acute care clinical setting.

Overview

Upon completion, the participants will have an understanding of the features and functionality of eMMa and the ability to be able to demonstrate:

  • adding weight/height
  • administering/delaying/withholding medications
  • adding allergies/alerts
  • eMMa Logon and Navigation
  • medication administering – Overview
  • ordering pharmacy medications
  • view patient summary chart
  • how to prescribe Nurse Initiated Medications
  • access reference viewer
  • how to undo medication withholding

Target

This training program is aimed specifically at Nurses who are required to use eMMa in their roles.

Duration

It is estimated that this course will take approximately 1 hour and 24 minutes to complete.

Completion

Course participants must complete the entire course to achieve course completion. Course completion criteria include:

  • Watch videos – all slides
  • Completing the Evaluation form

Technical Requirements

The participants require access to a computer, laptop, or tablet with an internet connection. The videos contain audio, so you will need a headset or speakers. Videos may include screen captures of systems with a lot of detail, so a large PC monitor is recommended for best viewing.

How do I get my Certificate after the Training?

A Certificate of Completion will become available once all the completion requirements are met.

Cancellation Policy

This is a self-paced, self-enrol learning course. There is no cancellation policy that applies to this course.
