This electronic Medication Management application (eMMa) online course is recommended for hospital-based doctors. This online course is designed to cover the training requirements and other relevant information that will assist doctors in the use of eMMa in the acute care clinical setting.
Overview
Upon completion, the course aims for participants to understand:
- Adding weight/height
- Adding allergies/alerts
- eMMa Logon and Navigation
- View patient summary chart
- different ways of prescribing including; Protocols, Quick List, Prescribe, Transfer from,
- Meds on Admission and Discharging
- Withholding, ceasing and editing medications
- How to undo medication withholding
Target
This training program is aimed specifically at doctors who are required to use eMMa in their roles.

It is estimated that this course will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete.
Completion
Course participants must complete the entire course to achieve course completion. Course completion criteria include:
- Watch videos – all slides
- Completing the Evaluation form
Technical Requirements
The participants require access to a computer, laptop, or tablet with an internet connection. The videos contain audio, so you will need a headset or speakers. Videos may include screen captures of systems with a lot of detail, so a large PC monitor is recommended for best viewing.
