This CCIS online training program is intended for all staff utilising CCIS to record client treatment or care. CCIS Basic New User training must be completed prior to any further Service Specific training.

  It will provide important information about a range of topics including:

  • The CCIS structure and security associated with Users’ access
  • The policies and legislation relating to access to Client records
  • Access History and CCIS Audit capability
  • Creating a new Client and updating demographics
  • Searching and Viewing a Client and Case
  • The Alerts and Risks functions
  • Creating a Referral In
  • Creating, Transferring and Closing a Case
  • Creating Events in a Client’s Case
  • Adding Results (Disease Control, Palliative Care & Primary Health Care only)
  • Adding Progress Notes to an Event
  • Adding Documents to an Event and the Copy and Paste Saved Document function
  • CCIS Inbox
  • Viewing Reports
  • Recording an Anonymous Event

Target

This training program is aimed specifically at new users using CCIS for the first time and who have not attended any other CCIS training program.

Duration

It is estimated that this course will take 3 hours 35 minutes complete all activities (both mandatory and optional activities). However, if you undertake only the mandatory activities, it is estimated that it will take 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Completion

Course participants must complete the entire course to achieve course completion. Course completion criteria include:

  1. Acknowledgment of reading the IMPORTANT: Cybersecurity information
  2. Watch mandatory videos – all slides and up to the Video Summary slide
  3. Undertake the interactive activities - all slides.  
  4. Obtain the pass grade for each Knowledge Check activity
  5. Completing the Evaluation form

Technical Requirements

The participants require access to a computer, laptop, or tablet with an internet connection. The videos contain audio, so you will need a headset or speakers. Videos may include screen captures of systems with a lot of detail, so a large PC monitor is recommended for best viewing.

How do I get my Certificate after the Training?

A Certificate of Completion will become available once all the completion requirements are met.

Cancellation Policy

This is a self-paced, self-enrol learning course. There is no cancellation policy that applies to this course.
