The Advanced Contract Management workshop is delivered by an external provider and is designed to build on the skills and knowledge of current contract managers who are responsible for complex, high value or high-risk contracts.

Target Audience

NT Government staff that are regular contract managers, with a particular focus on those that manage complex, high-value or high risk contracts.

     Learning Outcomes

    On completion of this course participants will be able to:

    •  Select the most appropriate contractual approach to secure co-operation and/or share risk
    •  Understand the basis of contract law
    •  Manage contractor performance in complex contracts
    •  Manage administrative aspects of complex contracts
    •  Resolve contractual disputes
    •  Design and implement a simple mechanism to capture and share lessons learned.

    Duration 

    The Advanced Contract Management course consists of a 2 day workshop (approximate session times 8:30am - 4pm).

    Cost

    This workshop is run on a full cost recovery basis. Workshop fees will be in the range of $700-1100 depending on enrolment numbers and facilitator travel expenses (for face to face delivery only).

    Payment must occur per person via Ledger Transfer Fund (LTF). As part of enrolling in this session you will be required to provide details of your LTF coder (cannot be a generic email) and cost centre code.

    Completion requirements

    Participants must have full attendance at the workshop to be marked as fully attending and completing the course.

    Securing your place in this course

    1. Your financial delegate has approved your attendance at this training via the MyLearning enrolment process.
    2. Your work unit is aware that they will be charged the course fee for non-attendance.

    Cancellation Policy

    10 working days cancellation notice must be given prior to the start date of the workshop you have signed up for. You may propose an alternative staff member to take your place on the session, to arrange this please contact Procurement NT.

    Failure to provide notice of cancellation will mean that your business unit will be charged the full course amount. This is due to the course being delivered by a third-party provider.
