This training course is intended for Emergency Department (ED) administration staff only and is designed to cover ED administration workflow requirements.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this course users will be able to:

  • View the ED floorplan view and patient list view.
  • Perform a patient search.
  • Register a patient or update patient details.
  • Print labels and front sheets.
  • Request a medical record.
  • Discharge a patient from ED.

It is recommended you complete the following eLearning courses prior to attending this face-to-face session.

 • Acacia 1.0 Fundamentals v3

  • Acacia 1.0 Patient Master Index Training (PMI) v2

The training sessions are delivered face-to-face onsite.

To be marked as complete, you are required to attend the full training session. 


Technical requirements

Sessions delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams, ensure that the Microsoft Teams application is installed on the asset you will be using. 

You must prepare for training by testing Microsoft Teams and your headset/audio/microphone.
