CCIS Basic New User

This CCIS training program is intended for all new staff utilising CCIS in any role or capacity for client/patient treatment or care. Basic New User training must be completed prior to any further Service Specific training. 

Target audience 

This half-day (4hrs) training program is explicitly aimed at new users using CCIS for the first time who have not attended any other CCIS training program.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the CCIS structure and security associated with Users' access
  • Understand the policies and legislation relating to access to Client records
  • Understand Access History and CCIS Audit capability
  • Search and locate a Client
  • Understand the Alerts and Risk functions
  • Create Event's in a Clients Case
  • Add Results
  • Add Progress Notes to an Event
  • Ad a new Document and copy an existing Document to a Client's Case/Event
  • Use the CCIS Inbox
  • Create a new Client
  • Create a Referral In
  • Create a Case
  • Run Reports from CCIS
  • Record an Anonymous Event

Recommended pre-learning

It is recommended you complete the CCIS Basic New User Training before enrolling in this course.

Session delivery mode

The training sessions are either delivered face-to-face onsite or virtually via Microsoft Teams. 

Please ensure that the Microsoft Teams application is installed on the asset you will be using.

Half Day

Completion requirements

To be marked as completed, you are required to attend the entire training session. 

Technical requirements

Sessions delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams, ensure that the Microsoft Teams application is installed on the asset you will be using. 

You must prepare for training by testing Microsoft Teams and your headset/audio/microphone. 

How to enrol

Self-enrol

Use the 'Enrol me' button located at the bottom of this page. If you cannot see the 'Enrol me' button at the bottom of this page, please CLICK HERE and re-check for the 'Enrol me' button at the bottom of this page. Clicking on the 'Enrol me' button will enrol you in the course and take you to the course homepage. Then you will be able to sign-up to a training session.

NTG Staff – login with your NTG LAN details. These are the same details you use to log onto your work computer.

Non-NTG Staff – login with your MyLearning account details or apply for a MyLearning account using the Application form for non-departmental staff.

How to cancel

  • Email DCDDABS-HSS.TrainingRequests@nt.gov.au as soon as possible or
  • Self-cancel on MyLearning by opening the training event and clicking the Cancel button.

Please note that cancelling the Outlook calendar invitation does not cancel the session or notify the trainer
