In this training, participants will learn how to manage an Acacia pregnancy.
This includes:
• Antenatal, Intrapartum and Postnatal activities in the Outpatient and Inpatient context.

Learning outcomes
At the end of this course users will be able to:
- The process to setup Preferences for the Appt Worklist and understand available functions Add additional sessions (Days or Time)
- Add a referral and book an OP appointment for a patient from an Outpatient setting Understand
- Create a pregnancy record for a new patient on the Appt Work list
- Edit information about the current pregnancy details for an existing patient
- Building the pregnancy history for a patient which will in turn calculate the patient’s gravida and para in the Pregnancy List
- The process to add Observations in the EPR for past and current episode
- The process for creating and completing an antenatal screening assessment
- The process for creating and completing an Antenatal Medical History Assessment
- The process to edit the Medical History assessment if a patient provides additional information after the questionnaire has been initially completed
- Create an alert for a new patient in Acacia
- The process to enter an outcome for an Appointment
- Record the information that a patient has departed after completing an appointment
- The process to make a follow up appointment
- The process of documenting a birth record for a non-registrable pregnancy loss against a pregnancy event in an episode context
- The process of documenting an outcome for a non-registerable pregnancy
- The process of documenting a placenta birth for a Non-Registrable Acacia pregnancy event
- Complete the admission process for a patient with a planned caesarean
- Complete the admission process for a patient with a planned caesarean
- Complete the process for quick admission for a patient with a current pregnancy
- Admit a boarder to a ward, and link to the admitted patient
- Request a Patient's Medical Record
- Print labels for an Inpatient episode
- Using the Order menu, add a Maternity diet
- The process of creating a birth record against a pregnancy event in an episode context
- The process of adding data into a birth record for an Open pregnancy
- The process of documenting a live birth outcome / baby birth in Acacia
- The process of recording a stillbirth outcome for an Acacia pregnancy event
- The process of documenting a placenta birth for a pregnancy event
- The process of reviewing and updating an existing outcome/baby birth for a pregnancy event
- Adding a new No Known Allergies status
- To create a newborn medical record and move it to a ward
- Creating a Patient Breastfeeding Alert in Acacia
- Move a patient to another ward
- Move a patient to a bed from the Midwife Station
- The process of running a PDC checker report is to make sure all required data has been captured before discharging a patient with/without her linked baby
- The process of discharging a maternity patient with her linked baby in the same workflow
- Discharge a Boarder from a ward
- The process of performing a quick birth registration and admission for an unwell baby to obtain URN and print baby labels – Scenario is a BBA
- The process of discharging a baby as a neonatal death - Scenario is a BBA

Session delivery mode
The training sessions are delivered face-to-face onsite.
Duration
2 hours 10 minutes.
Technical requirements
Sessions delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams, ensure that the Microsoft Teams application is installed on the asset you will be using.
You must prepare for training by testing Microsoft Teams and your headset/audio/microphone
Completion requirements
To be marked as complete, you are required to attend the full training session.
