The Patient Travel Management System (TMS) is a comprehensive patient management system that records travel for all patients and their approved escorts covered by NT Health. Travel requests managed by TMS include all travel requests under the Patient Assistance Travel Scheme (PATS), Inter Hospital Transfers (IHT) Medical Retrievals and Low Acuity Patient Transport (LAPT - Top End service only).

Target Audience 

This 60 minute training program is aimed at new users of TMS

Learning Outcomes

The TMS training will provide training for the following:

  • How to access TMS
  • Travel Types
  • Eligibility criteria for patients
  • How to create a New Travel Request
  • Adding an escort

Session Delivery Mode

Training sessions are delivered:

  • Face-to-face onsite, or
  • Virtually via Microsoft Teams
    • Please ensure the Microsoft Teams application is installed on the device you will be using.

Duration

60 minutes.

Completion Requirements

To be marked as completed, participants must:

  • Attend the entire training session
  • Participate in all required activities

Technical Requirements

For virtual sessions via Microsoft Teams:

  • Ensure Microsoft Teams is installed and functioning
  • Test your headset, microphone, and audio prior to the session
