This course covers: Ward Summary Floorplan and Ward List, Bed Management, Direct Admission, Managing Patient Allergies and Sensitivities, patient Alerts, Medical record requesting, patient transfer/Movements, Diet Order Items, Hospital Boarders, Floor plan Notes, Patient Leave, Episode checklist, Patient and Episode Comments, Discharge, admitting Pre-Admissions, FIM Assessment, RUG - ADL Observations, Palliative Care (Not delivered in Gove), renal - Dialysis - only delivered if Haemodialysis staff are in session.

Learning outcome
At the end of this course users will be able to:
- Review the Ward Summary
- Mark a bed as unavailable and record a reason this can be done from both the floorplan and the ward list view
- Mark a bed as available after being unavailable on a ward
- To push the expected arrival time out, so that the Pre-Arrival stays on the system.
- Complete a direct inpatient admission for a new patient
- Create a new patient alert in Acacia
- Print Labels and Forms
- Update expected discharge date
- Add an episode contact
- Record compensable details and contacts
- Complete the process for quick admission for a patient that presents as a direct admission to the unit with no ward clerk on duty.
- View Allergies and Sensitivities
- Identify migrated Allergies and Acacia allergies
- Adding a new No Known Allergies status
- Correcting the migrated No Known Allergies allergy
- Add a new patient allergy
- Transcribing migrated Allergies and Sensitivities
- Editing an existing allergy
- Removing an allergy
- Record an allergy or sensitivity as entered in error
- View Alerts

Technical requirements
Sessions delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams, ensure that the Microsoft Teams application is installed on the asset you will be using.
