Overview

This online course provides participants to understand the Renal functionality in Acacia in how to Manage Patient Allergies & Sensitivities, Patient Alert, Print Labels, Ward Summary Floorplan and Ward List, Haemodialysis Regine, Treatment Summary, Add a Clinical Note, Discharge Patient, Treatment Summary of Discharge Patient and Reports.

Target Audience

Nurses, doctors and administration clerks that work in Renal across Central Australia and Barkley.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this course users will be able to:

  • Understand the basics
  • Access Encounter Record screen and understand icons
  • View a Haemodialysis Regime
  • Create new, or update a Haemodialysis Regime
  • Add a Haemodialysis Treatment Summary
  • Complete Haemodialysis Treatment Summary – Discharged Patient
  • Add a Haemodialysis / Clinical Note (Progress Note)
  • Lock the Encounter Record
  • View patient allergies and sensitivities
  • Record patient with No Known Allergies
  • Create a new patient allergy
  • Edit or remove allergies and sensitivities
  • Create a new patient alert
  • Edit or remove alerts
  • Move a patient from one bed to another bed
  • Swap beds for two patients
  • Print episode labels

Duration

1 hour and 30 minutes.

Completion requirements

This training consists of two (2) parts. To ensure you complete the course and receive a certificate of completion, you must complete the quiz at the end of Part 2

Technical requirements

You may prefer to use a headset to listen to the narration within the eLearning modules. Closed captions are available within the eLearning modules.

Viewing the modules on a large monitor/screen is recommended. You can view the modules on a laptop, however you may experience legibility issues in some areas. Viewing the modules on a tablet or other mobile device is not recommended.
