Aim
The Financial Literacy Program is designed to build and expand the financial and procurement literacy of NT Health staff.
Target audience
NT Health clinical and operational staff with budgetary, management and leadership responsibilities.
Learning objectives
- Improved understanding of the responsibilities and challenges for the Health Service
- Increased understanding of revenue sources and expenditure
- Assist cost centre managers to effectively manage the resources they control
- To ensure resources are directed towards Health Service objectives
- Increased ability to monitor and manage performance against service delivery plans and budgets
- Improve understanding and ability to interpret the NT Health corporate delegation schedules.

Completion requirements
To be marked as completing the training, you are required to attend the training in full (i.e. 100% attendance). Partial attendance does not constitute as full attendance and therefore you will not receive a pass grade.
Approvals required to attend
- Your line Manager and HR delegates have approved your attendance at this training in writing/email.
- You have submitted and received approval from your financial delegate for any costs including travel to associated with this training.
- You have let the relevant rostering officers know you will be attending this training.
- Your work unit is aware that they will be charged $195.00 for non-attendance.
Falsely claiming that approval has been granted can result in cancellation of your enrolment and disciplinary action.
