Overview
This module aims to provide clinicians with knowledge about the recognition and response of sepsis within the NT. It will familiarise staff with the Sepsis pathways introduced in 2022 to improve the timeliness of interventions for patients with sepsis.
Target
Aimed at medical officers, nurses and midwives providing direct care to patients across settings. Other clinicians may also find value in becoming more sepsis aware.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Understand what sepsis is and its impact in the NT
- Know how to identify sepsis
- Describe the management of sepsis
- Be familiar with the sepsis pathways
