This course is designed to assist health professionals in their role of wound assessment and management in the acute setting.

Target audience

Doctors, Nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers, Multi disciplinary professionals.

Purpose

A 2 day face to face course to update knowledge and clinical skills in the practice of evidence-based wound care assessment and management.

Pre-Requisite

Before attending the face to face workshop, you must watch 6 pre-requisite learning videos.

You will be able to access the 6 videos after your application to access this course has been approved by your manager and/or the course coordinator.

How to pass

Complete the 6 pre-course education videos and attend both days of face to face training.

Login for NTG users and other MyLearning account holders:
  • For NTG staff, you will be required to use your NTG credentials. These are the same details you use to log onto your work computer.
  • For non-NTG staff, ie. external users, you will be prompted to login using your MyLearning account.

Non-NTG users who do not have a MyLearning account

If you do not have a MyLearning account, you will need to apply for a MyLearning account using the Application form for non-departmental staff.

Payment Process

There is no course fee for NTG employees. However, external applicants are required to pay $100 before acceptance. External applicants are required to pay Receiver of Territory Monies (RTM) at the entrance to RDH and forward a copy of the receipt and course name and date of course to: CLEaRS.DOH@nt.gov.au

Cancellation Policy

If you are no longer able to attend this course, please inform the Course Co-ordinator directly. If you wish to reschedule your attendance to another course, the process is to start over and re-register from the calendar. Informing CLEaRS as early as possible may permit someone from the waiting list to be admitted to the course.
