NT Health Essential Training Home
Essential Training requirements fall under several categories. You must ensure you have completed all essential training requirements set under each area relevant to your employment:
- ALL STAFF including medical, clinical, professional and technical staff have training requirements set as a condition of employment with Northern Territory Government (employment instructions/Legislation).
- Staff employed within the Health Services (Top End, Big Rivers & East Arnhem or Central & Barkly) have requirements set as part of hospital accreditation.
- Staff employed within specialist areas or locations (for example, ICU, Remote, kitchen) have additional essential training requirements
- Staff employed within specific professionals and/or who have registration requirements with professional bodies may also have additional training requirements
Step One: Undertake the training listed under the RED category ALL NT Health Staff. These are essential for everyone employed within NT Health, Top End, Big Rivers & East Arnhem & Central & Barkly region
Step Two: Undertake the additional training listed under the Health services if you are employed by Top End, Big Rivers & East Arnhem or Central & Barkly region
Step Three: Use the Essential Training Guidelines specific to your classification/employment area to identify any additional essential training required.
